Yes — the AI assistant you already use can turn your trip photos into a written travel journal. It cannot do it out of the box: a chat has no place to keep photos, timelines or trips. What it needs is a connector. Vifo is that connector — you add one URL to your agent's settings, and from then on "keep my trip" is something it knows how to do. Setup takes about two minutes; here is the whole flow.
In your agent's connector settings (Claude calls them Connectors, ChatGPT calls them Apps & Connectors in developer mode), add:
https://vifo.app/mcp
Your agent opens a sign-in page; you enter an email code once, and the connection sticks. Step-by-step instructions for Claude, Claude Code, ChatGPT, Gemini, Grok, Perplexity and other MCP-capable agents are in the setup guide.
Send it photos as you take them, in the same chat you would use anyway, and say whatever crosses your mind — "the soba place from 1861", "she says she is done walking today". You do not caption, tag, sort or upload to any separate app. Two habits are all it takes: photograph, and say things.
Say "make a trip for Kyoto" at the start, or dump everything at the end and say "sort these into a trip". The agent reads time and place from your photos, writes a description for every one, builds the day-by-day timeline, and files your remarks exactly where they happened — verbatim. Your words are never rewritten; that is a rule the system enforces, not a style choice.
The result is a private web page: a timeline of days, photos with written descriptions, your own words in quotes, distances and places counted. You can search it later ("where was that soba place?"), and share it with one link — shared pages never include the GPS coordinates hidden in your photos. Two finished samples are open to read: Lisbon, three days on foot and Iceland in February.
Which assistants work? Any MCP-capable agent: Claude (web, desktop, mobile), Claude Code, ChatGPT, Gemini, Grok, Perplexity, Tencent WorkBuddy and more.
Can my travel companions add photos? Yes — ask your agent for an upload link. Whoever holds it can add photos from their phone browser, no account needed.
What does it cost? Free covers your 10 most recent trips, 50 photos each. Plus is $6.9/month or $39.9/year for unlimited trips, video with transcription, and 50 GB fair use.
