Already use Claude or ChatGPT while you travel? Connect Vifo to keep photos and quick notes in a travel journal your assistant can organize and search.
Already use Claude for journaling? Vifo adds travel-specific tools to save a trip, record original remarks, open photo uploads and retrieve the trip later. Your assistant writes the journal; Vifo stores the records you authorize it to create. Use the worked Claude and ChatGPT journaling example to see the inputs, corrections and saved output. This is a hosted MCP service, not a downloadable Claude skill.
Vifo fits travelers who already talk to an AI assistant and want a lasting record of the journey. Its hosted MCP server gives that assistant tools to record a trip, read its timeline and find saved details later. It is for travel memories; it does not book flights or generate a master itinerary.
With recording permission, your assistant can create and edit trips, open a phone upload link, capture remarks, describe photos and build timeline blocks. Read tools list trips, photos and remarks and return the timeline. Search retrieves saved media, remarks and blocks; it does not unlock unrelated chat histories. Share tools create or revoke reader links. The available tool list follows the access you authorize.
Upload photos through the browser link your assistant provides. Your own remarks are stored as supplied, separately from generated descriptions. The assistant reads the available photo context and your notes, then writes the journal. Missing dates or places need your input, and generated descriptions need your review. Saving an AI description does not make it factually correct.
Illustrative interaction: “Start a new trip — Kyoto, five days.” → the assistant creates a trip you can open from My trips. “Give me an upload link for this trip.” → you open the link on your phone and add photos. “Keep this exactly as I said it: six seats, and the owner sings while he cooks.” → the remark is saved separately. Ask the assistant to organize the day, then later ask it to find that restaurant note.
The worked travel photo and note tutorial shows the input, illustrative output, a correction and retrieval. Read the published Lisbon journal to see the real reader format.
The server address is https://vifo.app/mcp. Vifo hosts it;
there is no local server to install. Your assistant connects over MCP
and opens Vifo’s email-code sign-in and consent page. Choose read-only,
record or full access according to what you want it to do. Follow the
current Claude and ChatGPT connection instructions
for the client menus.
You need an assistant that supports remote MCP and the required actions. Claude Free allows one custom connector; paid and organization plans have their own controls. ChatGPT’s full write support currently requires eligible Business, Enterprise or Edu access on the web; Pro read/fetch access is insufficient to create trips. Select Vifo in a normal chat; ChatGPT agent mode does not use custom apps. These client requirements were checked on 13 October 2026; official sources and other client instructions are in the setup guide.
Open your owner page to revisit each day. Trips stay private until you open a share link. Viewers of that link need no account; shared pages omit photo GPS coordinates and video transcripts. Review the photos and visible text before sharing. Vifo is a hosted service, not an end-to-end encrypted archive; authorized assistants receive the content their tools read.
Free keeps your 10 most recent trips accessible, with 50 photos per trip and no video. Plus costs $6.9/month or $39.9/year for unlimited trips, video with transcription and 50 GB fair use. Your assistant plan is separate. Vifo does not automatically import old chats or arbitrary archives, and your assistant may need help with missing photo metadata.
